About Us

A question often asked about The Lee Community Church is "What kind of church is this?" We are a contemporary community of Christ-following adults, teens and children aided by His Spirit to demonstrate and share the eternal truths, principles and promises that He taught and modelled.

By contemporary community we mean:

The value we place on celebrating God honouring diversity. When you visit the Lee Community Church you will find people from varied generations, races, social & economic status and Christian tradition. You will also find many who have never had a prior church experience of any kind. Yet, we enjoy tremendous unity in our diversity.
We are determined to say "Welcome!" to anjfy and all who Jesus welcomes and receives.
Our music is one example of our diversity. Although the Lee Community Church is committed to a wide range of contemporary and progressive musical expressions, we also recognise the great value of tapping into two thousand years of rich worship tradition. More important to us than the style of our music is the spirit of our worship....from the heart, in spirit and in truth.
Our desire to build authentic relationships. In an often impersonal contemporary culture, we seek to be family to one another, loving each other as Christ loved us.
We are not an exclusive or reclusive group of people. Anyone is welcome at The Lee Community Church.
We choose to concentrate on the basic core beliefs which all true Christians share in common. We prefer to lay aside secondary matters and the stubborn insistence in doctrinal disputes which can often polarise Christian communities Instead, whether you are young or old, rich or poor or in-between, married or single or divorced or widowed, from any racial or ethnic group - Jesus welcomes you and so do we!
Our desire to be relevant without becoming relative. We believe that the principles for life that Jesus taught, though considered ancient by most standards, have stood the test of time. His teachings are completely relevant to the challenges of living in the 21st century. They are the essential key to building healthy families, friendships, careers and perspective.
Our commitment to live out these principles, though difficult at times, is aided daily by the Holy Spirit, who not only empowers us to navigate through the ups and downs of life, but has proven to be the source of the unparalleled satisfaction, fulfilment, and joy which characterises our community.
The missional nature of our activity. "How we do life" is an essential component to the mission of the Lee Community Church.
Priesthood of the Believer. We believe everyone who finds their personal relationship with Jesus and is living with integrity and truth with that relationship is commissioned by Jesus to be a part of the ongoing work of the church. All are given gifts to enable the outworking of their callings, as such at Lee Community Church there are many people ministering all across the world from us. The leadership encourages broad participation from each committed and mature member. ( this may need some time to get right, and would like to chat with the others before it is floated)

The Lee Community Church is a community created to export its community to homes, neighbourhoods, work places, schools, musical venues and communities through out the world. Why? to demonstrate the character of Jesus Christ; to share the principles and promises of Jesus Christ; and, to serve human need just as Jesus Christ did.

In essence we are His representatives (Lee Community Church) to a world that needs the hope, love, peace, and purpose that He alone offers.

Membership at Lee Community Church is not like being a member of a club. The Bible explains membership as literally being a limb .. a member .. of a body. As the church is a body, the earthly body of Christ, anyone who is a member is intrinsically 'joined'. Therefore we do not have membership forms or even lists and numbers or members. You can't 'join' you become 'joined' by heart, vision, and purpose, and this comes from the individual heart and God's calling.
