Nursery & Pre-School Age.

Welcome to LION CUBS, Lee Community Church’s Pre-School Sunday Group.

We are aiming to minister to the children in our body who are 18 month - 4 Years (those children who are not yet in infant school)

Jesus made it very clear in Matthew 18:5 how seriously God and therefore we, need to see children and their needs. We recognise the importance of ministering to their precious spirits long before they are even able to communicate or understand the things of God. It is very important and we are choosing not to take the precept lightly.

Proverbs 22:5 commands us to actively teach/train our children so that they may choose the right path. It is not a passive word, rather it requires our action and we desire to be obedient to God’s word and enter into partnership with out children and their carers. Deuteronomy 11:18 calls us to be obedient so that we may have strength to enter that which God has set by for us, this is as true for the children as it is for us.

If we, with you, are teaching our children it means that they are learning. How do they learn and what are we aiming to impart? They learn by interaction and experience with parents and/or carers, other adults and even other children. When there is an interaction a reaction naturally occurs. We therefore want to impart life and God’s heart to them, no just knowledge of God but foundations and means to know HIM.

The developmental stages of pre-school children are quite incredible and unique. We have a specially designed programme particularly suited to their age range, however we want to affirm that our hearts need always be lined up with God and what he is saying to us by His spirit first and then to be practical by using our own experiences, gifts and talents. Thereby we are making the most of our times together rather than limiting them.

Since we have the privilege of ministering to our children it is also important to share an understanding with their parents/carers. We have put in place a book to record precious information, events and evidences of our journey together. We welcome parents/carers information, prayer requests, photos, prophesies or words / scripture spoken over the children’s lives to be included.

Kids Zone

Kids are not a hassle! Kids Zone is a ministry that is designed specially for our children.

The goal of the children’s ministry is:-

That each child come to know Jesus Christ as Saviour
That each child grow to love God’s Word
That each child desire to pray for others and for one another in the class
That each child desire to give to Lord’s work
That each child exhibit God’s character in their daily lives
"Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
